- DHDamian HillApr 26, 20262.0I prefer Toolstation over Screwfix as they still do the magazine to look for stuff when you have no idea what the name of it is. Can't do that on an internet search. Staff are good. But if you order next day delivery for pick up in the branch. They never contact you to say the items have arrived. I have consistently turned up a few days later asking if the item is in. And it has arrived the day they said it would. I never receive a text to say the items have arrived for collection. This does not happen at Toolstation Newton Abbot, Portsmouth, Fareham, Sedgenswort, Bishops Waltham, Winchester, Hedge End or Petersfield. When I mentioned this today (popping in to see if my items were in, yet again, as I was passing) the member of staff gave the fobbed off answer of "There is problem with the system." Which to me sounded like "kick the can down the road, not my problem" instead of an apology and "I will mention it to the manager" or "I'm sorry valued customer, we are aware that there is a problem and it is going to be sorted out as soon as possible". It was a Sunday so there was no manager in,to speak to. It's not good enough. I will follow up if anything has improved on my next visit and hopefully put the stars up to the usual 5.

But wanted the one that was .So while collecting the one that was in stock just enquired about the one due in . The young chap looked it up and said it had arrived but not yet unpacked But he would go find it. About 10 boxes opened later he produced it. So saved me another trip. I do find this branch very helpful though.
